March 29: Speakers Series: Changes in the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge Tidal Marshes

Join Wildlife Biologist Meg Marriott for an engaging presentation exploring the evolving landscape of the Baylands immediately west of Mare Island. This talk will examine recent changes in marsh culture, shape, ecological function, wildlife, and habitat. Learn how the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge is working to restore Baylands to their native state while incorporating innovative designs that address sea level rise and long-term environmental resilience.

A brief U.S. Navy video featuring drone footage of Mare Island and its environmental restoration efforts will also be shown.
